Shapard Research is the leading market research firm in Oklahoma, having worked with clients such as Sonic, BancFirst, Devon, Cox, and Post Foods.
Shapard Research's website was initially put together back in the early 2010's. Built on WordPress, the site had been left alone since it was built, leading to an outdated, slow design and an unsecure database.
Oklahoma's best market research firm needed a better website.
Having worked with Carbon Creative for a past project, Bill Shapard, the CEO of Shapard Research, decided to hire us again for the Shapard Research project.
We built a scope of work for this project, which included building a new website from the ground up using Webflow, our favorite state of the art web design and CMS platform. WordPress is clunky, outdated, and hard to maintain.
Shapard Research wanted a website that was much more secure, easier to maintain, and looks great – Webflow was the perfect platform for this project. We came up with a new design, made it quick loading and beautiful, and implemented an easy to use, intuitive CMS structure so Shapard Research's team could update and maintain their site with ease.
We had a series of conversations with Shapard Research to determine exactly what the end result should look like. After that, we started wireframing, prototyping, and finally building the new site. Using blog posts and copy from the previous site (with slight modifications) allowed us to build even faster than normal.
Ultimately, we were able to complete this project extremely smoothly, as the client was willing to let us take the lead and relied heavily on our expertise, which was a great motivator and allowed us to build a better final product.
After launching, we saw an uptick in user engagement and time spent on the site due mostly to the enhanced user flow and more modern, streamlined design.
